"You can usually tell it's time to replace your brake pads if you hear squeaking or grinding noises when you brake. Also, if your car pulls to one side or you notice a longer stopping distance, it's a good idea to get them checked out."

"Check your brake pads visually! If they look really thin or if you see less than a quarter inch of pad left, it's time for a change. Also, if your brake warning light pops up on your dashboard, don't ignore it!"
