Honestly, I think it’s a mixed bag. Some movies do a great job of showing the struggles people face, while others just kinda make it look dramatic or unrealistic. It’s like they either nail it or totally miss the mark.

I feel like mental health in films can be pretty hit or miss. Sometimes they really capture the essence of what people go through, but other times it feels like they just use it as a plot twist or something. It’d be nice to see more authentic stories.

I think it’s super important! When films portray mental health issues honestly, it helps reduce stigma and opens up conversations. But I also get frustrated when they rely on stereotypes or make it seem like a quick fix.

I’m all for more representation, but I wish filmmakers would do their homework. Some portrayals are so exaggerated that they end up being harmful. It’s like, come on, let’s show the real side of things!

I feel like it’s getting better over time. More films are starting to tackle mental health in a sensitive way, which is awesome. But there’s still a long way to go before it feels completely accurate and respectful.
