**Cold Process Soap**: Start by gathering your ingredients: lye, water, and oils like olive or coconut. Mix the lye with water (careful, it gets hot!) and let it cool. In a separate bowl, heat your oils until they’re melted. Once both mixtures are around the same temperature, slowly mix them together until it reaches "trace" (when it thickens). Pour it into a mold and let it sit for 24-48 hours before cutting it into bars.

**Melt and Pour Soap**: This one's super easy! Buy a melt-and-pour soap base from a craft store. Cut it into chunks and melt it in the microwave or a double boiler. Once it's melted, you can add colors, scents, or even little bits of herbs. Pour the mixture into molds and let it cool until it hardens. Pop them out, and you’ve got your own soap!
