A globalized literary market means that books and stories can reach a much wider audience than ever before. On one hand, it’s awesome because readers get access to diverse voices and perspectives from all over the world. You can find everything from Nigerian novels to Japanese manga right at your fingertips! But on the flip side, it can also lead to a homogenization of literature, where certain styles or themes dominate and smaller, unique voices get drowned out. So, while we get this amazing variety, we also risk losing some of the richness that comes from local storytelling traditions.
