**Taste Test**: Just grab a piece and bite into it! If it’s firm but not hard, you’re good to go.

**Cooking Time**: Check the package for cooking times. Start checking a minute or two before it says to see if it’s ready.

**Texture Check**: It should have a slight resistance when you bite into it, not mushy at all.

**Visual Cues**: Look for a little white dot in the center of the pasta. That’s a sign it’s still a bit undercooked, which is perfect for al dente.

**Fork Test**: Use a fork to pick up a piece; if it holds its shape but bends slightly, it’s likely al dente.

**Water Test**: If you throw a piece against the wall and it sticks, it’s probably done. Just kidding! But seriously, taste it instead.
