Honestly, I think film critics do have a bit of sway over what people decide to watch. A glowing review can totally boost a movie's hype, while a bad one can sink it, even if it's actually good. But at the end of the day, I believe people should trust their own taste and not just follow what critics say.

Yeah, for sure! Sometimes it feels like critics are gatekeeping what movies are "worthy" of our time. But I get it; they’ve got the experience and knowledge. Still, I think audiences should just go with what they enjoy, regardless of what some critic thinks!

I mean, critics definitely have their opinions, and those can shape how people see a film. But I think most folks have their own preferences and will watch what they like, regardless of reviews. It’s kind of like, if you want to see a rom-com, you’re gonna see it, no matter what some critic says!
