Honestly, I think it’s a mixed bag. Some films do a great job of showing the struggles people face and breaking down the stigma, while others just kind of sensationalize it. It’s important for filmmakers to get it right, you know?

I feel like mental health in films can be pretty hit or miss. Sometimes they nail it and really help people understand what others are going through, but other times it feels like they just use it as a plot twist or something. I wish there was more focus on realistic portrayals.

I think it’s getting better! More movies are starting to show mental health issues in a relatable way, which is awesome. But there’s still a long way to go. It’s cool when a film can spark conversations about mental health, but it can also be frustrating when it’s done poorly.
