**Keep it Simple**: "To properly prune your plants, start by removing any dead or yellowing leaves and branches. You want to make sure to cut at an angle just above a bud or leaf node. This helps the plant focus its energy on new growth. Just remember, less is more—don’t go crazy with the shears!"

**Get Specific**: "First, check the type of plant you have because different plants have different needs. For most, you’ll want to prune in the spring before new growth starts. Use sharp, clean scissors to cut back about a third of the plant, focusing on any weak or crowded areas. And always make sure to sterilize your tools to prevent any diseases!"
