**Look for the right size**: Generally, you want to wait until your herbs are a good size before harvesting. For most herbs, like basil or cilantro, you can start snipping when they’re about 6-8 inches tall. Just don’t take too much at once!

**Check the leaves**: If the leaves are vibrant and healthy, it’s usually a good sign they’re ready to be harvested. Just make sure they’re not flowering yet, as that can change the flavor a bit.

**Smell test**: Sometimes, it’s all about that aroma! If your herbs are giving off a strong scent, they’re likely ready to be picked. Just give them a sniff and see if they smell super fresh.

**Timing is key**: Harvest in the morning after the dew has dried but before the sun gets too hot. That’s when the oils in the herbs are at their peak, and they’ll taste way better!

**Regular trimming**: If you keep trimming your herbs regularly, they’ll keep growing strong. So, if they look bushy and healthy, go ahead and give them a little snip! Just don’t take more than a third of the plant at once.
