**Roots are coming out**: If you see roots poking out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot, it’s a clear sign your plant is root-bound and needs more space.

**Water isn’t soaking in**: If water just sits on top of the soil instead of soaking in, that could mean the soil is compacted or depleted, which usually means it’s time for a new pot.

**Growth has stalled**: If your plant isn’t growing or looks like it’s struggling, it might be because it’s outgrown its pot and needs more room to expand.

**Soil looks depleted**: If the soil is looking old, discolored, or has a lot of salt buildup, it’s a good idea to repot and refresh the soil.

**The pot feels too light**: If the pot feels unusually light when you lift it, it might mean that the plant has used up most of the soil and nutrients.

**Leaves are yellowing**: If the leaves are turning yellow and dropping off, it could be a sign of stress from being root-bound, so consider repotting.
