**Plywood and MDF**: "Honestly, plywood is a classic choice for building a slot car track. It’s sturdy and easy to work with. MDF is also great because it gives you a smooth surface for the cars to glide over. Just make sure to seal it properly to avoid any warping."

**PVC and Foam Board**: "If you want something lightweight, PVC sheets are awesome. They’re super durable and won’t warp like wood can. Foam board is another option if you’re looking for something easy to cut and shape, plus it’s pretty cheap!"
