**Basic Checks First**: Start with the simple stuff. Check the battery connections to make sure they’re tight and free of corrosion. Then, look at the fuses—if any are blown, replace them and see if that fixes the problem. Also, give the wiring a good once-over for any obvious damage or loose connections.

**Use a Multimeter**: If the basics don’t solve it, grab a multimeter. Check the battery voltage first; it should be around 12.6 volts when the bike is off. Then, test the charging system while the bike is running. If the voltage doesn’t go up to about 13.5 to 14.5 volts, you might have a bad stator or regulator.
