When you run into wildlife while camping, the best thing to do is to stay calm and keep your distance. Don't approach the animals, and make noise to let them know you're there without startling them. If it's a bear or something bigger, back away slowly and avoid eye contact. Always store your food properly to avoid attracting them in the first place!
