**Fill the Gaps:** If you’ve got small dents or holes, just grab some wood filler or caulk. Apply it to the damaged area, smooth it out with a putty knife, and let it dry. Once it’s dry, sand it down a bit and give it a fresh coat of paint to match the rest.

**Replace the Damaged Section:** If the damage is too bad, you might need to cut out the damaged piece. Use a saw to carefully remove it, then measure and cut a new piece of baseboard to fit. Nail it in place and paint it to match!
