**Storage Bench**: If you want a bench with some storage, you can use a similar approach but make it a bit deeper. Build a rectangular box with a hinged top. This way, you can store shoes or bags inside. Just make sure to add some hinges for the lid and maybe even some cushions on top for comfort.

**Repurposed Furniture**: Check out thrift stores or garage sales for old furniture that you can repurpose. An old dresser could be turned into a bench by removing the drawers and adding a cushion on top. It adds character and can be a fun DIY project!
