**Basic Patch Up**: Start by cleaning the area around the damage. If it’s a small hole, grab some spackle or joint compound and fill it in. Smooth it out with a putty knife, let it dry, then sand it down until it’s flush with the wall. Finally, paint over it to match the rest of the wall.

**For Bigger Holes**: If the damage is larger, you’ll need a piece of drywall. Cut out a square around the damage, then trace that shape onto your new drywall piece and cut it out. Screw it into place, tape the seams with drywall tape, and apply joint compound over it. Sand it down and paint when it’s dry.

**Water Damage Repair**: If you’re dealing with water damage, first identify and fix the source of the leak. Cut out the damaged drywall, let the area dry completely, and then follow the steps for patching up larger holes. Make sure to use moisture-resistant drywall if it’s in a humid area.
