Alright, making béchamel is super easy! You’ll need butter, flour, and milk. Start by melting about 2 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once it’s melted, whisk in 2 tablespoons of flour and cook it for a minute or two to get rid of the raw flour taste. Then, slowly pour in about 2 cups of milk while whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Keep stirring until it thickens up, and season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg if you like. That’s it!
