Honestly, I think jump scares can be a bit cheap. They definitely get your heart racing for a second, but I prefer horror films that build tension and create a creepy atmosphere. Those stick with you longer, you know?

I’m all for a good jump scare now and then! They can be super fun, especially when you’re watching with friends. It’s like a rollercoaster ride—just a quick thrill. But if that’s all a horror film has, it kinda loses its charm for me.

I get why people like them, but I’m not a huge fan of jump scares. They feel kind of predictable to me. I’d rather watch a horror movie that has a solid story and character development. The psychological stuff is way scarier than just a loud noise out of nowhere!
