**Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!** Make sure you drink enough water to replenish what you lost during your workout. A good rule of thumb is to drink at least 16-24 ounces after exercising.

**Stretch it out.** Spend some time doing gentle stretches to help your muscles relax and improve flexibility. It feels great and can really help with soreness later on.

**Get some good grub.** Fuel your body with a balanced meal or snack that includes protein and carbs. Think a smoothie, a protein shake, or even a chicken and rice bowl!

**Rest up!** Don’t underestimate the power of a good night’s sleep. Your body does a lot of its healing while you snooze, so aim for 7-9 hours if you can.
